Jay Eugene Cork Dysert
Age 61

Jay Eugene Cork Dysert, 61, of Riverside Ave., Wellsville, died Sunday, June 29, 2003 at East Liverpool City Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

He was born August 19, 1941 in East Liverpool, the son of Marjorie Reed Dysert of Wellsville of the late Russell Sharretts Dysert.

Cork was a 42 year member of the Cambridge-Steubenville Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 495 and a member of Labor Union 809 in Steubenville, retiring in 2002.

A 1960 Graduate of Wellsville High School and Kent State University in 1970, he was active in the Wellsville Elks Lodge 1040 since 1963 where he served as Exalted Ruler in 1976 and Districts Activities Chairman in 1994. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Toronto, Ohio and a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Wellsville.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by three sons, John of Frankton, Colorado, William Ted of West Palm Beach, Florida and Stephen of Jupiter, Florida, a granddaughter, Brittany of West Palm Beach, Florida. He is also survived by a brother, Dane of Wellsville, two sisters, Mrs. Richard Jill Kountz of Wellsville, Ohio, Mrs. Allan Rebecca Watson of East Liverpool, and several Nieces and Nephews whom he was quite fond.

Services will be held at the Wellsville Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes, on Wednesday, July 2, 2003, at 1:00PM with Reverend William Betteridge of the Riverside Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call in Wellsville on Tuesday, July 1, 2003 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 where Elks Services will be held at 7 PM.
