BARR, Janythe M., 84, of Glen Dale, WV, died peacefully at Ohio State University Medical Center with her family that she loved and cherished at her side.
Janythe was born on June 4, 1929, in Moundsville, WV, the daughter of the late William Herman and Ada Milligan. Janythe attended Moundsville High School and was salutatorian of her class, and then attended West Liberty State College and graduated Cum Laude with an A.B. degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College. She was a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority while at West Virginia Wesleyan College. Janythe then graduated from Western Reserve University, Cleveland, with an M.S. degree in library science.
Janythe was a librarian at both the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh Brookline and the Wheeling Public Library. While in Pittsburgh, she also reviewed books on local television, was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time traveling with her family and doing activities with her grandchildren. Janythe was a member of Glen Dale Methodist Church and Beta Sigma Phi sorority.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Don A. Barr.
Janythe was a devoted wife and mother to four children.
Surviving are two sons, David E. Barr of Northfield Township, OH and John R. Barr of Circleville, OH; two daughters Jayne A. Barr of Circleville, OH and Nancy B. Hale and her husband Todd O. Hale of Carmel, IN; two grandsons, Connor O. Hale and Hunter B. Hale of Carmel, IN.
Private graveside services for the family and close friends will be held at Mt. Rose Cemetery, Moundsville at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Janythe can be made to the Moundsville Salvation Army.

John and Family – I am so sorry to read of your mothers recent passing. I remember her as a very nice woman who always had a smile on her face.I am sending prayers your way.
