Age: 39

Janet Jayne Joy Trease, 39, of Commerce Street, Wellsville, died suddenly at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA on February 1, 2004. She ws born in East Liverpool, OH on September 10, 1964, a daughter of Lorraine JoAnn Long Joy of Wellsville and the late Wilbur E. "Jim" Joy.

Janet, Being a lifelong area resident, was a graduate of Wellsville High School, Class of 1982 and worked as Assistant Manager/Merchandise Coordinator at the Wal Mart Distribution Center in Wintersville, Ohio.

Besides her mother, she is survived by a son, Mark Allan Trease of Noel, Missouri; three brothers: Dale Call of Wellsville, OH, Jay Call of King George, Virginia and Brian Joy of Lisbon, OH as well as two sisters: Brenda Sell of Wellsville, OH and Shyla Landis of St. Augustine, Florida.

Besides her father, she is preceded in death by four brothers: Don Call, Greg Joy, Dan Joy and Michael Joy.

Services will be held at the Wellsville Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Thursday, February 5, 2004 at 1:00 PM with Evangelist Will Montgomery of the St. Clair Avenue Church of Christ officiating.

Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.

The family will be present to receive friends at the funeal home in Wellsville on Wednesday, February 4, 2004 from 6-8 PM.

I will miss Janet Trease. She was a very nice lady. I am 14 years old and a good friend of her son, Mark Trease.

JoAnn and Family,

I read in the Morning Journal this morning that Janet had died. I’m at a total loss of words. This is such a terrible loss and please know that I am so sorry. You all have my deepest sympathy and my prayers are with you all.
