Jane Stevens

Age 49

Jane Stevens, 49, of Nevada Street, Wellsville, Ohio, died on Monday, March 26, 2001 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on May 28, 1951, a daughter of the late James D. and Audrey L. Rawlings Stevens.

Miss Stevens was a life long area resident, working as Assistant Clerk for the Village of Wellsville for the past 16 years. She was a graduate of Wellsville High School, Class of 1969 and attended Jeff Tech and Ohio Valley Business College. Jane was also a member of the Immaculate Conception Church.

She is survived by four brothers: James A. Stevens of Oklahoma City, OK, David R. ”Bob” Stevens of Calcutta, OH, Richard Stevens of Clinton, IL and Terrence L. Stevens of Wellsville, OH; two sisters: M. Jo Stevens of Hemet, CA and Gerry Stevens of Wellsville, OH along with several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at the Wellsville Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Friday, March 30, 2001 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Terry Berry of the Calcutta Church of the Nazarene officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.

The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Wellsville on Thursday, March 29, 2001 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.

Memorial tributes may be made to the East Liverpool Chapter of the American Red Cross – Blood Bank, 401 College Street, East Liverpool, Ohio 43920.

Jane and I go back to the earliest years of grade school

at Immaculate Conception. She was always alot of fun….I was shocked to hear of her passing. You have my sympathy.
