James Steward Fisher, Jr. US Navy-Ret., 62, died on Wednesday, February 5, 2003.

He was born in Cherry Hill, New Jersey to the late James Steward Fisher Sr. and Evelyn James Fisher. He retired with 22 years of honorable service in the US Navy and served during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association-Kempsville Branch 99 and worked in security for Old Dominion University.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Daniels Fisher; a son, Scott J. Fisher; and a brother, Robert C. Fisher.

The visitation will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Virginia Beach Chapel, on Friday, February 7, 2003 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm with the Fleet Reserve ritual to begin at 7:00pm.

Donations may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation at 406 Oakmears Crescent, Suite 201 Virginia Beach, VA. 23462.

Dear Margaret, some times it is easier to write then talk , so we want you to know how sorry we are that we have lost a good friend and you have lost a great husband he will be sadley missed by our family and if you need some one just call on us we will be here for you and you will be in our prayers ,Always Gordon and Mae 490-3759
