Dear Julie and children,

We are so sad to hear of the loss to our worldly home. Jim was generally a quiet man in our Sunday School, however, when he did speak it had great value and spoke volumes. We miss you all greatly and are saddened that we can’t minister to you face to face. We will meet again one day in heaven and have a great reunion with you and Jim.

May God soon bring you His blessed peace.

In His Name,

Ron and Janell Harvey

I am sorry to hear about your lost. However, the bible speaks of a time when sickness and death will be a thing of the past.

This is found in the bible at Revelation 21:3,4 where God assures us that his protection will be with mankind, and death will be no more. But if we continue to take in knowledge of God, he will give us the comfort we need. 1Corinthians 1:3,4 Here again sorry to here about your lost.

Julie and family. I will always remember the times I shared with Commodore Martin on the basketball court and golf course. It was a great opportunity to know the “boss” outside of work. He will truly be missed. Jennifer and Jared, be comforted in the fact that your father spoke of you often and with great pride. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. With deepest sympathy.

Julie,

I just got to know Capt. Martin in August when he reported to CFFC IG. Just in that time I felt that he was a warm and caring man. When I met you at the CFFC Christmas, I felt you were the same, warm and caring. May God bless you and keep you and your family. When you feel sorrow, read John 14:1- “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. God will always be with you.

Julie, Jennifer, and Jared,

I was so far behind in reading my e-mail and I just read and learned today 2-2-05 of Jim’s death. I am shocked and saddened! My heart is with you all. I know how much you all loved Jim and I did too. I remember sharing many good times and meals with my neighbor across the street. I never remember seeing Jim angry or upset about anything, he always seemed to be calm and just took things in stride. I know you will miss him terribly……..such a gift he was from God to all of us!

In Sympathy,

Trudy Wales

Julie, Jennifer, Jared,

I am so sorry for your loss. I have been praying for you guys since I heard the news. I wish I could do more. I know that I have not kept in touch as well as I should have but if there is any thing I can do, at any time, please ask.

I want you to know that next to my parents Jim was the one person that had the most impact on my life. Had he not invited me to play softball for Englewood Christian Church I don’t know where I would be. I also remember all those dinners you cooked so Jim and Brent could teach me what I needed to hear about Jesus Christ. For that I will always be greatful. That is what I will remember most about Jim Martin, the man who lead me to Christ.

Thank you Julie, and please ask if there is ever anything I can do for you or Jennifer or Jared.

I will continue to pray for strength for all of you.

Your friend always,

David.
