Parsons, James O. “Bub”, 101, of Moundsville, WV, died Thursday, March 6, 2008 in Cameron Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
He was born August 8, 1906, a son of the late James L. and Margaret Rine Parsons.
Mr. Parsons was a retired employee of Fostoria Glass Co., was a Marshall County farmer and was a member of the Moundsville Baptist Church. From April, 1951 – February, 1962, he was in charge of the Marshall County Infirmary Poor House Farm. He loved hunting and fishing, and was a member of the NRA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Ryan Parsons; several brothers and sisters.
Surviving are four sons, Thomas Parsons and his wife, Sue, of Moundsville, Donald Parsons and his wife, Linda, of Buckhannon, WV, Robert Parsons and his wife, Glenna, of Moundsville, and Teddy Parsons and his wife, Judith, of Moundsville; two daughters, Ruth Gassaway and Bernice McKimmie and her husband, Richard, all of Moundsville; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Friends received 2-4 & 7-9 pm Saturday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville, where services will be held at 1:00 pm Sunday, March 9, 2008 with Rev. Ron Price officiating.
Interment in Limestone Cemetery, Moundsville.

Sorry to hear about Mr. Parsons. I’m sure he’ll be remembered, and he got the most out of his time here on earth. My thoughts are with your family at this time
