James MAY

MAY, James, 96, of Wheeling, WV, died Thursday, May 16, 2002, in Wheeling Hospital. He was retried from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel and a member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Wheeling. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Emillee Atwell May; a daughter, Nellie Marie Stiles; three brothers, George, Fred and Willliam May; and two sisters, Violet Themelaras and Olive Ball. Survived by his loving wife, May Moran May, two daughters, Barbara Stevenson and her husband, William, of Triadelphia, WV, and Joan Essig and her husband, William of Belington, WV; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff St., Wheeling. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2002, at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, Wheeling, Entombment in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
