James Allen “Jamie” Funkhouser, 43 of Bridgeport, Ohio died Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, West Virginia.
He was born June 18, 1971 in Galveston, Texas a son of James Stanley and Linda Allen Funkhouser.
Jamie was a mechanic, a Presbyterian by faith and a charter member of the Moose Lodge #2504 in Provident, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Margaret Lynn Funkhouser, his paternal grandparents, James Robert and Martha Jane Funkhouser and maternal grandparents, William A. and Sarah Margaret Permar Allen.
Jamie is survived by his wife, Carla E. Blacker Funkhouser, his parents, James Stanley and Linda Allen Funkhouser, his brother, Michael Lee Funkhouser of Bridgeport, Ohio, one niece, Dakkota Ryshell Ramsay and one nephew, Michael Lee Funkhouser, Jr. Also many uncles, aunts and cousins, including his special uncles, Glenn Allen and Bobby Funkhouser, good friend, Billy Neiman, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary and Dick Blacker of Neffs, Ohio and his two dogs, Diezel and Presley.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 441 37th Street Bellaire, Ohio on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm where services will be held on Thursday at 1 pm with Reverend David M. Demarest officiating. Interment in the Belmont County Memorial Park in St. Clairsville, Ohio.

My son Kevin knew him and said he was a good guy…Carla, I’ve known you and your fmily since You were a little girl,, whether it be the trip to the Pittsburgh Zoo, Girl Scouts, Story Hour in Bellaire, when You and Renee were so little..I am so sorry, but remember God does not give You more than You can handle..Please remember the good times and memories of Your husband..I know it’s hard. but things will get better.
