James Allietta, 87, Formerly of Wheeling, West Virginia and Bellaire, Ohio died Friday April 21, 2006 in Peterson Rehabilitation and Geriatric Center Wheeling, West Virginia.

Jim was born March 14, 1919 in Bellaire, Ohio a son of the late Constanzo and Magdalena Beltrondo Allietta.

He was employed in the culinary arts working in various restaurants until his retirement. He was a Catholic by faith. He was a WWII Army Veteran and was a Prisoner of War.

He was preceded in death by two brothers John Allietta and Joseph Allietta and a sister Frances Destifanes.

Surviving are two sisters Mary Snyder of Bellaire, Ohio and Esther Sidon of Sherman, Illinois, Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews as well as great great nieces and nephews are surviving.

Family and friends received Monday April 24, 2006 2-4p.m. and 6-8p.m. at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory where funeral services will be held 10a.m. Tuesday with Msgr. Gene W. Mullett officiating.

Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Bellaire, Ohio.

SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT JIM, HE AND MY MOM BECAME FRIENDS WHEN HE WAS DRIVING THE SENIOR VAN, HE TOOK HER TO HER DR APPTS AND WAS ALWAYS VERY NICE TO HER, SHE PASSED RECENTLY TOO, AND I FIND COMFORT IN KNOWING THEY ARE IN A BETTER PLACE, AND THAT ONE DAY WE WILL ALL BE REUNITED AGAIN.
