McCULLEY, Alfred Lee, 82, loving and devoted husband of Irene Marie Pevavar McCulley, of Bethlehem, Wheeling WV , died
peacefully on Monday, March 27, 2006 at his home.
McCULLEY, Irene Marie Pevavar, 88, loving and devoted wife of Alfred Lee McCulley, of Bethlehem, Wheeling WV, died Thursday, March 30, 2006 at Bishop Joseph Hodges Continuous Care Center, Wheeling.
Having enjoyed a marriage lasting 58 years, at the time of their death, both Lee and Irene were surrounded by their family to whom they were devoted and loving parents, grandparents , great grandparents, brother, and sister.
Born in Wheeling WV on March 20, 1924, Lee was the son of the late James Alfred and Esther Faddis McCulley. He was a retired plant manager for 7 UP Bottling Company, Wheeling and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving during WWII in both the China and Pacific theaters.
Born in Wheeling WV on December 22, 1917, Irene was the daughter of the late Peter and Anna Kudla Pevavar Mielcarek. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Irene was a homemaker who, like Lee, enjoyed being at home spending quality time with her husband and family.
Irene was preceded in death by her step father, Michael Mielcarek Sr.; her siblings, John Pevavar, Stanley Pevavar, Helen Pevavar, and Bernard Pevavar.
Surviving Lee and Irene are two daughters, Becky Kuper and her husband Jim of Richmond Va, and Kathy Zinn of Bethlehem; four grandchildren, Micah Zinn and his wife Kristy, Kellee Zinn, Nathan Kuper and his wife Stephanie, and Morgan Kuper; one great granddaughter, Leah Nicole Zinn. They are also survived by a faithful companion, their dog, Sadie.
Lee is also survived by his sister, Marion Huffman and her husband Orville of Bethlehem.
Irene is also survived by her siblings, Walter Mielcarek, Chester Mielcarek, Michalene Mielcarek, Eleanor Mielcarek, and Michael Mielcarek, Jr.
There will be no visitation.
