Irene I. Pavlic Malicki, 82, of McMechen, died Saturday, April 21, 2001, in the Wheeling Hospital. She was born January 22, 1919, in Fairpoint, Ohio, a daughter of the late Walter and Margaret Broaski Pavlic.
She was a member of St. James Catholic Church, McMechen; the Rosary Altar Society of St. James and the PNA Lodge, Fairpoint.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph K. Malicki in 1978; and twin children, Mark and Juanita Malicki; six brothers, Alexander, Stanley, Leo, Walter, Stephen and Theodore Pavlic; and a sister, Estelle Schollard.
Surviving are a son, David J. Malicki and his wife, Linda of Wheeling; a daughter, Phyllis M. Blinn and her husband William of Worthington, Ohio; four grandchildren, Elizabeth and Katherine Blinn of Worthington; Joseph M. Malicki of Columbus, Ohio and Monica Malicki of Wheeling; a sister-in-law, Wanda Pavlic of St. Clairsville; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the St. James Catholic Church, 324 Logan St., McMechen, on Tuesday from 10a.m. until the time of Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 11a.m. with the Rev. Gervase Cain, T.O.R. as celebrant. Entombment in Mount Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Wheeling.
