Obituary for:
Ida Mae Smith
Age: 96

Ida Mae Smith, 96 formerly of Wellsville, OH died at the Nentwick Convalescent Center in East Liverpool on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 following a brief illness. She was born in Fly, OH on October 24, 1911, a daughter to the late Charles and Lina Haught McWilliams.

Living her entire life in this area, Mrs. Smith was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and having been the oldest member, she attended the First Christian Church of Wellsville.

Her husband, Harry W. Smith died on June 27, 1978.

One son: Harry Eugene Smith of Wellsville; three daughters: Alma Martin of Hammondsville, Mary Gallher and her husband Charles of Arkansas and Carolyn Thomas of Wellsville; one sister: Joann Fickes of East Liverpool; fourteen grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren survive her.

Besides her parents and husband, three brothers: Floyd, Homer and Raymond McWilliams; as well as four sisters: Bertha McWilliams, Alma Jenkins, Audrey McWilliams and Bessie Ludwig preceded her in death.

A graveside service will be held at Yellow Creek Cemetery on Friday, May 2, 2008 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Troy Warner of the church officiating.

The family will be present to receive friends at the Wellsville Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Thursday, May 1, 2008 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
