May it bring you peace and comfort knowing that he is in a better place and will be waiting for you to be reunited, never again to be separated. With love, Steven and Jocelyn Lacey
Dear Gibbs Family,
I was greatly sorrowed upon hearing of Mr. G’s passing. I have many memories of him driving Scott and our friends around in that blue Toyota jeep before we could drive, and scolding us to go to sleep when I stayed over as a kid.
He and Shirley did a real fine job of raising their children and I’m sure he is very proud of them as they are of him. He was an upstanding citizen of ELO and his contributions to our little town will sorely be missed.
I know I have not been in touch with your family over the years, but I have deep love and respect for you all. Having gone through a loss this past year myself, I just wanted to convey my condolences, and pray that you will find the strength to go on with life without him. The pain and sorrow doesn’t ever really go away, and will become dulled as life progresses as you heal, but the memory of him and his love will continue and grow.
I hope to visit with you when I am back in town in a few weeks.
I am sorry I am unable to attend the services, but please know that my thoughts and love are with you.
God Bless,
Douglas E. Dahl

Scott,
I am sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing. You had told me you two were close, as I was with my Dad. So I will share a favorite Mark Twain quote that I think appropriate “When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished at how much he had learned in seven years.”
It is so great that as we grow older we can use all the wonderful things our fathers have taught us. I am thinking of you old Burgdawg buddy.
Scott, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this very difficult time.
Scott, prayers going up for you and your family at this difficult time. I am so sorry.
Shirl, My condolences to you and your family. I didn’t know Howard had been sick, saw it in the Review on line. Keep the faith.
