BROOKOVER, Hilda M. Renshaw, 78, of Wheeling WV, died Monday, July 15, 2008 at Bishop Hodges Continuous Care Center, Wheeling. Born in Wheeling on March 22, 1930, Hilda was the daughter of the late Joseph and Clara Belle Freese Renshaw. She was Catholic by faith and a retired employee of the former Hazel Atlas Glass Company. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilfred and Robert Renshaw. Surviving are her husband, James E. Brookover; two sisters, Olive Groskopf of Wheeling and Mary Ellen Keller and her husband John of Martins Ferry OH; one brother, Joseph Renshaw of Solon OH; several nieces and nephews including Leslie Dupke and her son Clint of Pittsburgh PA; her godson, Max Bray. Friends will be received at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger St. Elm Grove, WV on Friday, July 18, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm where a Vigil service will be held at 3 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Saturday at St.Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Elm Grove. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Valley Hospice, 132 Peters Run Road, Wheeling WV 26003 or American Cancer Society, 122 S. High St. Morgantown WV 26501. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during these difficult times. Hilda was a great aunt and she will be greatly missed. May your heart find healing with beautiful memories of the wonderful times you shared with Hilda. We loved her dearly. May she rest in peace.
