TEDESCO, Herb, 91, of Wheeling, W.Va., passed away Thursday, November 24, 2011.

He was born August 13, 1920, in Clarksburg, W.Va., a son of the late Mike and Margaret Harrigan Tedesco. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Cathedral in Wheeling and served in the U.S. Army during WWII.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Laura Klettner Tedesco, two brothers, Michael and Orlando, and two sisters, Angelina and Arlene.

Surviving are his two sons, Paul Tedesco of Carnegie, Pa., and Phillip Wendy Tedesco of Wheeling; one sister, Virginia Stevenson; three grandchildren, Nicole, Elise, and Paul; and one great-grandson, Braxton.

Friends will be received Sunday, November 27, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling, where a vigil service will be held at 6 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Cathedral, Wheeling on Monday, November 28, 2011 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Msgr. Kevin M. Quirk as celebrant and Rev. Larry W. Dorsch as concelebrant. Entombment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
