Henry T. Lowe

VIRGINIA BEACH- Henry Thomas Lowe, 63, passed away on May 28, 2008. He served in the Navy and the Coast Guard and retired after 26 years of service. He was a member of the Church of the Ascension in Virginia Beach, the Beach Lodge #169 Knights of Phythias, and the Hiram Masonic Lodge #18 in Delaware, Ohio.

Mr. Lowe was predeceased by his father, Fred Burton Lowe and is survived by his wife of 30 years, Pauline M. Lowe; four children, Phillip Gonzales and wife, Michele of Virginia Beach, Michael Lowe and wife, Pamela of Orlando, Florida, Monique Santos and husband, Marc of Virginia Beach, and Mark Gonzales and girl friend, Erin Craig of Lafayette, California; six grandchildren; mother, Jean Lowe; two sisters, Rita Heffley and husband, Michael and Betty Lowe; sister-in-law, Paulette Ordonez; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at the Church of the Ascension 4853 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach, 23462 on Sunday, June 1, 2008 at 2:00pm.

The family will like to express their heartfelt thanks to all of Henry’s doctor’s and staff for the care that he was given.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society at 4416 Expressway Drive, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23452 or to Lee’s Friends at 618 Stockley Gardens, Norfolk, Virginia 23507.

I really got to know Henry through the Grand Lodge. He was a great Pythian and his presence will be missed.

I was very sad to hear of Henry’s passing. My wife and I would like to send our deepest sympathies and condolences to you and your family. When I first became a member of the Knights of Pythias, Henry was one of the first to welcome me and walk me throught the degrees. He was a fine man, and will be truly missed by all who knew him. The world is better place for having him our lives. He will be truly missed.
