HENRY "PAP" WOJTASEK, 67 OF SUNSET DRIVE, MARTINS FERRY, OHIO DIED SATURDAY JANUARY 1, 2005, AT HOME.
HE WAS BORN MAY 18, 1937, IN MAYNARD, OHIO A SON OF THE LATE IGNATZ AND VICTORIA KOCHEFSKI WOJTASEK.
HANK WAS A RETIRED MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR FOR THE Y&O COAL COMPANY, A MEMBER OF THE ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH IN MARTINS FERRY, AND A VETERAN OF THE US NAVAL RESERVE.
IN ADDITION TO HIS PARENTS, HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY ONE BROTHER, EDWARD WOJTASEK.
SURVIVING ARE HIS WIFE CARLA "CARLETTA" STEVENS WOJTASEK, WHOM HE MARRIED ON JANUARY 6, 1961; THREE CHILDREN LISA MARIE LEACH AND HER FIANCE TERRY DUSZ OF MARTINS FERRY, OHIO, HENRY WOJTASEK AND HIS WIFE SUZANNE OF FARMINGTON, AND SCOTT WOJTASEK OF WHEELING; THREE SISTERS CONNIE KELLER OF LANSING, VELMA WOJCHOWSKI OF ST. CLAIRSVILLE AND DELORES SHINKAROW OF MAYNARD; FIVE GRANDCHILDREN AND ONE STEP GRANDCHILD, JESSICA, CHRISTINE, DANIELLE, DALTON, BRITTANY AND KAYLA.
FAMILY AND FRIENDS WILL BE RECEIVED AT THE BAUKNECHT-ALTMEYER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY 441-37TH STREET BELLAIRE, OHIO ON TUESDAY JANUARY 4, 2005 FROM 3 UNTIL 8 PM.
FUNERAL LITURGY WITH MASS WILL BE CELEBRATED ON WEDNESDAY JANUARY 5, 2005 AT 9:30 AM AT ST. JOHN CATHOLIC CHURCH, BELLAIRE, WITH MONSIGNOR GENE W. MULLETT, THE CELEBRANT.
ENTOMBMENT IN THE HOLLY MEMORIAL GARDENS MAUSOLEUM, PLEASANT GROVE, OHIO.
VIGIL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 3:15 PM ON TUESDAY AT THE FUNERAL HOME.

Carla & Lisa: I remember going to the recitals & baton competitions & Hank being there. He always seemed to have such a good time traveling & watching you, Lisa. He was a very good man/father. I always remember him w/a smile on his face. I totally understand your loss. My father meant the world to me as I’m sure your father meant to you. I’m sorry we can’t be there, physically but we’re there in spirit with all of you. Take care & Lisa, if you ever need to talk/vent, please don’t hesitate to call. We’ve known each other a long time.

We will always remember the happy hours that Hank spent fishing in our pond, with Dalton close by his side. He was a caring person and we always enjoyed talking with him. Although we can’t be with you at this time, please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers and our deepest sympathies go out to your entire family.
