Henry G. Smith

VIRGINIA BEACH- Henry G. Smith, 70, passed away in his home on October 17, 2008 with family by his side.

Born in Edenton, North Carolina, he was a retired farmer and an avid NASCAR fan. He was a member of Parents without Partners and the Norfolk Moose Club #39.

Henry was predeceased by his father, Ralph Austin Smith; and Henry’s wife, Rose Smith. He is survived by his mother, Doris Smith; fiancé, Janet Nails; two sons, Michael and Paul Smith; granddaughter, Rachael and husband, Dan; great granddaughter, Annabel; two brothers, Millard Smith and wife, Dot, and Robert Smith and wife, Joyce; and a sister, Carol Duntley.

The visitation will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road, Virginia Beach on Monday, October 20, 2008
from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at 10:00am with the burial to follow at 2:00pm in the Beaver Hill Cemetery in Edenton, North Carolina.
