Rodriguez, Helen Marie, 78, of Moundsville, WV died Monday January 28, 2008 at home.
She was born December 11, 1929 in Moundsville a daughter of the late Joseph A. and Kathryn O. Hull Reilly. Mrs. Rodriguez was a homemaker; a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church; the American Legion Unit 3 and the VFW Post 437 Ladies Auxiliaries of Moundsville.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Bienvenido F. Rodriguez; a son Benjamin Francis Rodriguez; a brother Joseph J. Reilly and two sisters Margaret Dorothy Reilly and Mary Pauline Reilly.
Surviving are two sons, Brian J. Rodriguez and his wife Marlene of New Martinsville, WV and Bruce K. Rodriguez of San Francisco, Ca.; three daughters Helen M. Simmons of Glen Dale, Jamie A. Atac and her husband Murat of Paris, France and Kathryn A. Pownall and her husband Paul of Wellsburg, WV; a daughter-in-law, Mary Sue Rodriguez of Glen Dale, WV; three sisters, Catherine Ducci and her husband John of Moundsville, Jerri Bracken of Moundsville and Theresa Myer and her husband Albert of Moundsville; thirteen grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Friday, at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville, WV. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 am Saturday, February 2, 2008 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Moundsville with Rev. Terry Adams, T.O.R .as celebrant. Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville. Rosary devotions Friday at 7 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church Building Fund, 912 Seventh Street, Moundsville, WV 26041.

I sat next to Helen during daily Mass and come to know her well. I will miss her very much, and I know you do at this time of loss. Know that I am praying for her and the family she left here to carry on.

Sorry for your loss… one memory that sticks in my mind of your Mom during our childhood is spaghetti every Saturday. Funny the stuff we remember.
