McNEIL, Helen Barbara, of Wheeling, died Monday, January 4, 2008 in Ohio Valley Medical Center, in her 80th year.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, James L. McNeil, Jr. in 1994; her parents, Charles and Nettie Smith; a brother, Theodore Smith; a sister, Elizabeth Brown; and a grandson, James L. McNeil, III.
She is survived by a brother, James Agnes Smith of Hundred, W.Va.; a son, Michael Cheryl McNeil of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; a daughter, Kathleen Donnie Spielvogel, with whom she resided; four grandchildren, Michael and Kelly McNeil, and Lindsey and Meaghan Spielvogel; several great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special great-grandchild, Kaylee Spielvogel, with whom she spent most of her last days with. Helen will be greatly missed by all.
There will be no visitation. Services and interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

I was saddened to hear of the loss of Aunt Helen. I wish we would have kept in touch more often. I have wonderful memories of her — I loved her and you as well. Call or e-mail me anytime 775-2885. Carolyn

Michael,Kathleen and families,

You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I have good memories of your mom and dad at many family outings–picnics,deep creek and in wheeling.

They were always upbeat and fun to be around.

I am sorry for your loss.
