Harry Wilbert Gaus

Harry WIlbert Gaus, 84, of Wheeling, WV, died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2004 at home.
He was born in Wheeling on May 18, 1919, the son of the late Harry A. and Louise Stoltz Gaus.
Harry was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Wheeling; a U.S. Army veteran; a retired employee of the Ohio County Schools; and a former employee of the Wheeling Fire Department.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Gaus.
Harry is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Charlotte Helfer Gaus; a son, Gary Gaus; a daughter, Alta Gaus all of Wheeling; and a sister, Delores Cross of Weston, FL.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 3828 Jacob Street, Beiswenger Chapel, Wheeling, WV, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004 with Mr. Alan Jeffries officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.
