Dana,

I am so sorry to read in the paper of Harry’s death. I have thought about you off and on for years, especially when going through old pictures when we all used to live downtown. The last time we all saw each other, I don’t even think Harry was in real estate yet. May God be near and dear to you and your family at this time. “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be anymore pain: for the former things are passed away.” Rev. 21:4

Dana, Angie, Jeff & family:

I want to say how sorry I am for such a great loss. When Larry was sick Harry was there, when they first met long ago, Larry would go into his office and continue to try to sell Harry an ad for the magazine. Finally Harry told him with you as determined as you have been, I’ll buy one! Now was Larry being a pest or a good sales person? Who knows & who cares because it was the beginning of a great friendship that has & will last forever until eternity! The other day Larry was on the phone Laughing so loud I had to go find out WHO is making him so happy! I say with a smile & a tear it was Harry! SPORTS & GOSSIP I’m sure. Thank you for asking him to lunch & to being a man that he loved dearly. Truly a Best Friend that will be missed.

Harry I loved you too & will miss you alot and thanks for all the sports talk you saved me.

Go NYG

Dana, Angie & Jeff May God Bless You and keep you. Times are tough now but the memories will live on forever!

I first met Harry in 1955 when we were playing football in the junior football league at the Newport News Recreation Center on Wickham Avenue. Harry was living

in Marshall Courts and I was on 25th Street. As an adult, Harry continued to follow

Football and dearly loved the NY Giants. By 1958 we had moved to Seven Oaks across from Marshall Courts and I met Harry again working as a Soda Jerk at Mushy’s

Soda Shop on West Avenue across from the Shipyard Apprentice School building.

What a Guy!

Harry was a real professional and managed my rental properties in Newport News and Hampton for over twenty years.

God Speed Harry, we will meet again

I met Harry 27 years ago when my wife Beverly and I purchased our first and only home in Toano. This led to a life long friendship which included a business partnership. Through all the years, Harry was always an honest, straight forward, and sincere person, with a great sense of humor. In the last several years, we enjoyed meeting for lunch at Appleby’s! We discussed everything from sports to politics to religion to family. Harry always had a joke to start off our lunch! Of all the things we discussed, Harry showed his greatest pleasure in talking about his family. I’ll miss my very good friend Harry, and our times together. Bev and I send our deepest sympathy to Dana, Angie, Jeff, and all of his family. I know that the New York Giants will have an advantage next year with Harry in heaven pulling for them.

May the Lord bless you in this time of great loss. Harry made it possible to buy my first home. He helped a young family do something that they didn’t think was possible. I will always remember Harry.

Mr. Mulder was a wonderful person, and I learned so much from him and his sunday school class. He was such a wonderful influence on a little girl who was trying to learn about Jesus. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this most difficult time. I will truly miss him.

To The Family of Harry Mulder–

I met Harry more than 35 years ago when my husband and I purchased our first home. That first home purchase was the start of many real estate transactions. Harry was a true professional and just an all around good guy. My deepest sympathy to all family members.
