Harold E. Martin, 82, of Main Street, New Athens, Ohio, died Saturday, November 29, 2008 in the Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, WV.
He was born July 4, 1926, in Wheeling, a son of the late Clyde and Minnie Price Martin.
Harold was former president of Friebertshausers Barber and Beauty Supply, Wheeling.
He was a member of the New Athens United Methodist Church and a WWII Army veteran.
In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his first wife, Amelia Fleming Martin, and two brothers, Bernard and Robert Martin.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy Gooding Martin; three daughters; Judith Gooding, Mrs. E.J. Linda Miller and Mrs. Donald Dottie Hanson, all of Wheeling, two sons; Scott Fogle, Columbus, Ohio and Shawn Fogle, Greenfield, Ind., ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 1 PM Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at the New Athens United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Rodney Bower officiating.
Beck-Altmeyer Funeral Home & Crematory, St. Clairsville, Ohio, is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Athens United Methodist Church, New Athens, Ohio.
