Gilbert Lee Smith

SMITH, Gilbert Lee 87, of Dillonvale, OH, died Monday, November, 15, 2004 in Wheeling Hospital.
Gilbert was born February, 12, 1917 in Colette, IN, a son of the late Ernest Schlosser and Osa M. Smith. He was retired from the former Imperial Glass, Bellaire, was a member of the First Methodist Church, Martins Ferry, the Martins Ferry Senior Citizens and the Moundsville Eagles.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy E. Smith; two children, Nancy J. Blankenship and her husband Bill of Broken Bow, Okla and Larry Lee Smith of Needles, CA; two step-daughters, Kimberly Jack of Dillonvale and Cindy Hollingsworth of Steubenville, Ohioa.; a step-son, Mike Goray, and 12 grandchildren.
There will be no visitation. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 6:30 pm Thursday, November 18, 2004 at the First United Methodist Church, 3rd and Clay Streets, Martins Ferry, with Pastor Van Fisher officiating.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the First United Methodist Church, 3rd and Clay Streets, Martins Ferry, OH
