MEYER, Gerald R., 79, of Wheeling, died Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at home.

Gerald was born June 6, 1928 in McKeefrey, W.Va., a son of the late Theodore and Florence Kirkhart Meyer. He was retired from Bayer Corp., New Martinsville; a member of the Cave Club, Wheeling; the C.A.V.U. at the Ohio County Airport; the Warwood Vets.; and was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by a brother, Griffith Meyer.

Gerald is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Dolores M. Bowman Meyer; three daughters, Karen Robinson and her husband, Bill of Cumberland, R.I., Brenda Jetty and her husband, David of Auburn, N.Y. and Jerri Yesenczki and her husband, Michael of Wheeling; a brother, Milo Meyer and his wife, Norma Jean of Moundsville; four grandchildren, Matthew and Emily Jetty, and Kristen and Alex Yesenczki.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, Thursday at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling, where funeral services will be held at 11 am, Friday, May 30, 2008, with the Rev. Chris Turner officiating. Entombment will be in Parkview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Wheeling.

I was so sorry to hear about Uncle Gerald,I seen the pics of your surprise anniversary party and you guys looked so good.Even though I

couldn’t make it please know my

thoughts and prayers were with all
