George T. Tribett, 77, of McMechen died May 11, 2003 in Columbus, Oh. He was retired from the B&O Railroad; a veteran of the US Navy WW II; a member of the VFW Post 3655 and the American Legion Post 5 McMechen, WV. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Shuttlesworth Tribett; two sons, Mike Tribett and his girlfriend, Tonya Purtiman and TomCindy Tribett all of McMechen; three sisters, HelenJohn Flading, Patricia Kolas and MarthaJack Knobich; four grandchildren; a faithful friend, Lucky. Memorial contributions may be made to St. James Catholic Church, 327 Logan St. McMechen, WV 26040; Pulmonary Fibrosis Research Fund NO 308510 Attn: Dr. James Allen OSU, 473 W 12th No 201, Columbus, Ohio 43201.

Sorry to hear about Mr. Tribett. I always enjoyed his company whether it was while Tom and I were in Jr. Hi. or talking to him at the old Castle Club. I’m sure he’ll be missed by many and remember forever. Take care
