George Ladyga, 86, lifelong resident of Shadyside, Ohio, died Saturday July 18, 2009 at his home.
George was born March 14, 1923 in Shadyside, Ohio, a son of the late Jacob and Frances Rasnelski Ladyga.
He was a self-employed Building contractor, a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church where he was active in many organizations and church functions. He was a Marine Veteran of WWII.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were a brother Rudy Ladyga and a sister Ann Kaluha.
Surviving is his wife of ____years, Katherine Kissell Ladyga, two sons, George Beverly Ladyga of Indianapolis, IN. and David Donna Ladyga of Houston, TX, two daughters, Barbara Larry Schroeder of Kalispell, MT and Donna Gary Amend of Palm Harbor, FL. a sister Elizabeth Gondira of Shadyside, Ohio, three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received Monday from 5p.m. until 8p.m. at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory 3900 Central Avenue Shadyside, Ohio.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be at 10a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Fr. Samuel Saprano as Celebrant.
Interment in Powhatan Cemetery, Powhatan Point, Ohio.
Vigil service Monday, 7:30p.m. at the funeral home.

George was a great guy and I really enjoyed working and talking with him. He was very quick and willing to help me with any questions I had on remodeling my home. We will miss him. Call me if I can assist the family with anything. We are very sorry for your loss.
