Pullen, George G. III, 50, of Wheeling, W.Va., died Friday, May 29, 2015 at home surrounded by his family.
He was born April 20, 1965, in Wheeling, a son of the late George Grover Pullen Jr. He was a member of the Vineyard Church in Wheeling. George was a jack of all trades who worked many jobs including a mechanic for Wheeling Cycle and Marine, the City of Martins Ferry, construction, roofing, and many more. He played a role in the making of the movies Super Eight, the Men Who Built America on the History Channel, and The Christmas Tree.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma Pullen of Wheeling; his mother and father-in-law, Tom and Betty Wright of Bellaire, Ohio; two step-mothers, Maida Whithuhn Pullen and Patricia Clovis Patterson; one son, George Christopher Pullen of Wheeling; two daughters, Lora Pullen of Tenn. and Kelsey Pullen of Rayland, Ohio; one step-daughter, Amy Blankenship of Bellaire, Ohio; one step-son, Richard Quinn; four brothers, James Pullen of Rayland, Shawn Pullen of Charlotte, N.C., Orland Pullen of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Jeremiah Pullen of Steubenville, Ohio; one granddaughter, Vanessa Pullen; two nephews, Jacob Pullen and Zachary Pullen; one niece Lydia Pullen; and his best friend, Ed Armstrong.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling.
