BRADCOVICH, George, 90, of Wheeling, WV, died Sunday, September 29, 2013 in Peterson Hospital.
He was born September 5, 1923 in Wheeling, a son of the late Fabian and Anna F. Pogacic Bradcovich.
He was a retired diesel mechanic with Tower Lines Trucking, a member of the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, Teamsters Local #697, Cave Club, Elm Grove Civics, Elm Grove Eagles #1891, served 35+ years with the Mt. Olivet Volunteer Fire Dept. and an Army veteran of WWII.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Willie, Tony and Alex Bradcovich, three sisters, Anne Pyle, Violet Justus and Kate Roark.
Surviving is his loving wife of 64 years, Eleanor L. Keller Bradcovich, four children, Pastor MaryAnn Nolte of Glen Dale, WV; Karen Larry Jones of Wheeling; Kathie Tom Parrill of Martins Ferry, OH; Mike Julie Bradcovich of Florida; one brother, John Bradcovich of Wheeling; one sister, Josephine McCracken of Strongsville, OH; eight grandchildren, Rob Antoinette Nolte, Lori Ann Kettlewell, Theresa Norman Fonner, Mike Cassie Bradcovich Jr, Kristie Cliff Hartley, Amy Leon Somers, J.T. Parrill, Melissa Jones, six great-grandchildren, Robbie Rochelle Nolte, Melanie Kettlewell, Kayla Kettlewell, Troy Fonner, Andrew Fonner, Kaydence Bradcovich.
Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling.
Friends then received 10:00 a.m. Friday, October, 4, 2013 until the time of the funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church with Rev. Greg Markins officiating.
Interment and military honors in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
