Galen A. Sambajon

Virginia Beach- Galen Alcantara Sambajon, age 66, went to be with the Lord Thursday September 17, 2009. Mr. Sambajon was born September 27, 1942 to the late Felicisimo and Adela Alcantara Sambajon in the Philippines. He proudly served in the US Navy retiring after 20 years of service.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Lourdes Ponce Sambajon; daughter Marie and son Lebaron; brothers, Dante Sambajon, Einstein Sambajon, Julius Sambajon, Ulysses Sambajon; sister, Emeline Barabad.
He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Resurrection will be conducted by Rev. Mario Fulgenzi, OSB, 1:00 PM Friday at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church with interment to follow at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk. The family will received friends at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Rd. Virginia Beach Thursday from 6 to 9 PM. although i didn’t met uncle galen in person,i know in my heart that he was and is a good man.a loving father to his children and a devoted wife to auntie Ondes..Now that he’s with OUR MAKER..i know that he will live forever in our hearts..goodbye uncle galen..ur family will miss you..you’re in our prayers..
