Frederick Freeland

FREELAND, Frederick, 69, of Wheeling, died Friday, July 6, 2001, in Valley Haven Geriatric Center, Beech Bottom. He was a former employee of the Salvation Army. He was preceded in death by his father, Herman E. Freeland, Sr.; and his mother, Helen B. Freeland Johnson; a brother, Herman Jr.; three sisters, Betty Jane Goettle, Ruth Ann Smith and Mattie Wallace. Surviving are his wife, Martha Lee Freeland; a brother, Carl of Wheeling; five stepchildren, Alberta Lee of Wheeling, Charles Brewer of Mississippi and Patty Galloway, Mary Brewer and Edward Brewer, all of Texas; and several stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Tuesday from Noon until the time of the service at 2 p.m. at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff St., Wheeling.
