Fred ”Tom Kiger, 73, of Key Avenue, Wheeling, died Monday April 2, 2001 at Home.
He was born December 28, 1927 in Valley Grove, WV., son of the late John and Nellie McCoy Kiger. He was retired from Blue Ribbon Paint Co., a protestant by faith, and a member of the Elm Grove Eagles, Aerie 1891.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret M. Hamilton Kiger, two daughters, Linda Boggs and her husband Adrian, and Zelma Nickerson and her husband Terry, both of Wheeling, a sister, Mary Lou Newman of Aurora, NC, a brother, Frank Kiger of West Alexander, PA, four grandchildren, Mark Slater, Diane Tolliver, Lucinda Schwartz, and Rebecca Boggs, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Thursday April 5, 2001 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger Street, Elm Grove, Wheeling, where services will be held Friday at 1:00 pm with Pastor J.D. McCormick officiating.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Valley Hospice 98 East Cove Avenue, Wheeling, WV, 26003.
