Komorowski, Fred, 86, of Moundsville, WV, died Friday, December 5, 2003, in Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale, WV. He was born May 15, 1918, in Moundsville, a son of the late Roman and Veronica Paradysz Komorowski.

Fred was a retired employee with the former Louis Marx Toy Co., Glen Dale, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps in WWII. He was a lifetime member of Moundsville VFW Post #437 and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #499, Moundsville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Joe Komorowski, Mitchell Komorowski, and John Komorowski.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 57 years, Eldean Chaplin Komorowski; a daughter, Maria Bell and her husband, Michael of Moundsville; a son, Frederick Komorowski and his wife, Evelyn of Liverpool, NY; three sisters, Geneva Cicholski and Sophia Metz of Moundsville, and Stella Kowal and her husband, Theodore of Canton, OH; a brother, Stanley Komorowski of Moundsville; four grandchildren, Rachelle Curfman and her husband, Douglas, and Christopher Bell, all of Moundsville, Andrew Komorowski of Liverpool, NY, and Holly Scicchitano of Sierra Vista, AZ; two great-grandchildren, Cole and Victoria Curfman of Moundsville; several nieces and nephews.

Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 PM Monday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave. Moundsville, where services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 9, 2003 with Rev. Burl Jernigan officiating. Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville. The Moundsville Honor Guard will conduct Military Graveside Services.
