URACO, Frank, 84 of Wheeling, WV, died Friday, May 7, 2010 in Liza’s Place, Wheeling.
He was born September 22, 1925 in Wheeling, a son of the late Joseph and Elvira Luppari Uraco.
Frank was a former employee and superintendent at Ohio Valley Steel and retired from Blaw Knox Rolls and Machine of Wheeling.
Frank was an avid walker, enjoying walks daily in Wheeling Park.
He also was a very talented woodcrafter and enjoyed gardening and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Mae Pauline Uraco, two brothers, Tally and Joseph Uraco, and one sister, Mary Uraco Cerullo.
Surviving are two sons, John Joseph Uraco and his wife, Lynn and Mark Anthony Uraco and his wife Mary all of Wheeling; one daughter, Frankie Lea Uraco Cappellari and her husband Charles of Beckley, WV; three grandchildren, Chase William Cappellari, Wayne Joseph Uraco and Adam Marcus Uraco, one sister, Katherine Uraco Calmbacher of Fla; one very special niece and nephew, Linda and Jim Bennington of Big Wheeling Creek, in addition to several other nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling, where funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2010 with Rev. Jeremiah McSweeney officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Liza’s Place, Valley Hospice of Wheeling, WV.
Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.
