FRANK STACKNIK

Frank Stacknik, 84, of Norfolk died on Saturday, September 29, 2001 in his home.

Born in Dickson City, Pennsylvania, to the late Frank and Helen Stacknik, he was a retired aircraft mechanic with N.A.R.F. He served in the U.S. Navy for 26 years and retired as a CPO E-7 and served during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and Fleet Reserve Association Branch 60.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ola Mae Stacknik; predeceased by a son, Frank Stacknik, Jr; survived by a son, Edward Paul Stacknik, Sr. of Norfolk;daughter, Patty Farrington of Virginia Beach ; four grandchildren, Cindy, Edward, Jr., Stacy, and Rachael; 2 great-grandchildren, Victoria and Jacob.

A Mass Service will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2001 at 10:00am in St. Pius X Catholic Church by Father R. Francis Muench. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The visitation will he held in the funeral home on Monday, October 1, 2001 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. A reception will also be held in the church following the burial.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society at 2730 Ellsmere Ave. Norfolk 23513 or the Veteran of Foreign Wars.
