Frances "Frannie" Elizabeth Zelewicz Lufft, of South Wheeling, died Friday, May 2, 2003 in Ohio Valley Medical Center.<br>Frannie was born March 12, 1918 in Wheeling, WV, a daughter of the late Walter and Anna Haligowski Zelewicz.<br>She was a homemaker; a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, the American Legion Auxiliary Post 46 and the Christian Mothers Association at the former St. Mary’s Catholic Church.<br>In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John G. Lufft; a son, Richard D. Lufft; five sisters, Helen Melko, Blanche Bobbins, Stella Mrzlak, Sophia Sekoral and Deloris Melko; and two brothers, Bernard and Eddie Zelewicz.<br>Surviving are a daughter, Darla Tridigo and her husband, Mike of Wheeling; three sons, John C. and his wife, Sally and Robert P. and his wife Mary "Binky", all of Wheeling and Thomas A. and his wife, Lisa of Independence, Mo.; a daughter-in-law, Dorcus Lufft of Wheeling; a brother, John Zelewicz of Canton, Ohio; and her best friend, Edward "Bud" Florjanczyk of Wheeling. She was blessed with 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.<br>Friends received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Beiswenger Chapel, 3828 Jacob St., Wheeling. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2003 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Wheeling with the Rev. Patrick Condron as celebrant. Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.<br>Memorial contributions may be made to the Seeing Hand Association, 750 Main St., Wheeling, WV 26003.
