Virginia Beach; Floyd T. March, 72, of Virginia Beach passed away Friday, April 4, 2008 at Sentara Norfolk General.

He was born in Nansemond County the son of the late Dumfray and Nora March. He was a retired supervisor with Addenbrook Septic Tank Contractors. He also retired from the Railroad. Floyd served in the National Guard. He was a member of the Franklin Hunt Club.

He is survived by his son, Don Jackson and his wife Cindy of Virginia Beach; sister, Mary Virginia Johnson of Suffolk; his loving companion, Rosemary McCombs of Virginia Beach and her extended family, Nicole McCombs, Sherry Deininger and their families.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 PM at the Altmeyer Funeral Home 5792 Greenwich Road Virginia Beach. Reverend Ernest Trueblood will officiate. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Diabetes Institutes Foundation 855 W. Brambleton Avenue, Norfolk 23510. “Uncle Tommie”

Tommie had a very large family of whom the survivors will greatly miss him.

Floyd “Tommy” was a wonderful man and a great neighbor. His presence in the neighborhood will be greatly missed.

HE WAS A SPECIAL MAN HE AND ALL OF THEM BROTHERS AND SISTERS WERE VERY SPECIAL TO ME IN MY CHILD HOOD DAYS MAY THEY ALL REST IN PEASE AND I TO WILL MEET THEM IN THE HEAVENS ABOVE HAVE AND WILL MISS THEM DEARLY

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. I am very sorry to hear that Tommy past away. He was a nice man and I enjoyed working with him at CS Hines/Addenbrook. We worked together for about 10 years in the 80’s and 90’s. May he rest in peace.
