Linda C. Wines 60, of Calcutta, Ohio died Monday morning, December 16, 2002 at home following a one year illness.

She was born in Chester, West Virginia on June 17, 1942, the daughter of Elsie Ruth Wires Conkle of Chester, West Virginia and the late Paul Dean Conkle.

Living her entire life in the area, Mrs. Wines was a wife, mother and homemaker. She graduated from Chester High School in 1960 and was a regular worker at the Election Polls for many years. She bowled on the Tuesday morning Perennial Bowling League at Tri State Lanes and bowled in many state tournaments. She also enjoyed walking around the Calcutta area.

Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband, Robert Wines, whom she married in 1963.

She is survived by two daughters, Diane "Dee Dee" Snyder and her husband, Jim of Wooster, Ohio and Karen "Sis" Zepp and her husband, Andy of
Vandalia, Ohio; two brothers, Neil Conkle of Wellsville, Ohio and Ronald Conkle of Hot Springs, Arkansas; a half brother, Paul Conkle, Jr. of Newell, West Virginia; three sisters, Grace Gilbert of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, Joanne Hickman of East Liverpool, Ohio and Norma Jean Goodlin of Chester, West Virginia.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Conkle.

Services will be at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin-MacLean-Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Wednesday, December 18, 2002 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Paul Sturm of Rainbow Ministries, officiating.

Burial will follow in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

The family will be present to receive friends at the Calcutta Chapel today, Tuesday, December 17, 2002 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Memorial donations may be made to the Oncology Department at Salem Community Hospital, 1995 East State Street, Salem, Ohio 44460

Doris, Tom & Emily & family,

I was so sad to see that Floyd has passed on, knowing him though, he wouldn’t want you to sad. He would want you to celebrate the good times, & hold the memories, close to your hearts, & share them, & remember him! Right!?

I remember him as having allot of faith & showing others Gods Way.
