Virginia Beach- Flournoy Efton Cleveland, known to all as "Pete", died October 12, 2002, in Virginia Beach General Hospital. He was born October 27, 1920.

Mr. Cleveland had a 35-year career in the gasoline business. Upon his retirement in 1985, he did what he liked best, continuing an insatiable pursuit of knowledge.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Darline B. Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law, Mickey and Becky Cleveland; daughter and son-in-law, Trudy and Robert Norville; his grandchildren, Adam Cleveland, Amy Luttrull, and Alyse Norville. Mr. Cleveland is also survived by one great- grandchild, Brandon Luttrull.

Mr. Cleveland’s family would like to thank the many doctors and wonderfully caring cardiac nurses who helped this much-loved husband and father with his last courageous fight.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad.
