Florence ”Flo” Louise Campbell, 88, of Wheeling, died Monday, September 24, 2001, at Wheeling Hospital. She was born November 23, 1912, in Baltimore, Maryland, a daughter of the late Lee Thomas and Ruth Lambert Campbell.
She was a retired registered nurse from St. Vincent Hospital in New York and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.
She was a veteran of the US Navy serving in World War II as a Registered Nurse.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, G. Lambert and Lee Thomas Campbell.
Surviving is her sister Ruth Campbell Drinkard; seven nieces and nephews, Helen Altmeyer and her husband, H. Brann of Wheeling, WV; Ruth Drinkard Knouse and her husband, Mark of Washington, DC; Thomas Campbell and his wife, Patty of Martins Ferry, Ohio; Dennis Campbell and his wife, Mary of Hartford, Connecticut; Robert U. Drinkard III of Washington, DC; G. Lambert Drinkard of Wheeling, WV; Dr. Lee Campbell Drinkard of Arlington, Texas and several great-nieces and nephews.
Private services and interment were held on Thursday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger Street, Elm Grove.
