To Flo’s Family,

Flo was one of the kindest, dearest, most generous individuals I had the privilege to get to know when I was pastor in Shadyside. She and Sally had a ministry in her shop for cancer patients. Often when I was in Bellaire, I would just pop in and say “Hi!”…always greeted with a warm smile. Flo had a way of making other people feel special. We also had many talks over lunch at Rigas’ Restaurant…often times theological conversations. She took such an interest in me and my ministry even visiting my church on a Sunday morning.

She was a blessing to know!

Remembering you in my prayers.

Blessings in Jesus,

Rev. Alice Phillips

Zach & Family,

Please accept my heartfelt condolences for your loss. I recall fondly growing up in the “old” neighborhood and feel fortunate to have had role models like Mrs. Mendelson. I pray your grief is somehow lessoned in the knowledge that her memory lives on in each of us.
