Dear Starke Family,

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. It’s never easy to deal with the death of a loved one. Thankfully at John 11:25 the Bible gives us the wonderful hope of a resurrection for ones who have fallen asleep in death. I hope you are able find strength and comfort from this scripture.

Evelyn, my Beautiful Wife,

I can’t wrap my arms around the fact that you are no longer here with me. These past days have been an emotional roller coaster ride; so many thoughts and emotions. I am missing you more than words can express and waiting for the day when we will be reunited as God promised. I am happy for you that you no longer suffer from the health problems that were stealing your life away, but my heart is breaking. If it were not for our daughter Hilary, family and friends, here to comfort and help me through this very difficult time, I don’t think I could get through. What a blessing Hilary and all have been. Loving and missing you. I am very proud and honored to call you my wife.

Your loving husband of 37 years,

Dean

Here’s my speech: ” we all love and miss Aunt Evelyn, but she’s with grandma and

the angels. She’s no longer suffering from the loss of grandma or the physical pain she was in. Though she’s not here physically, shes right here, in our hearts and she’ll always be there. Yes it’s a sad and depressing moment but she’s

in a better place and I’m sure she’s happy to be with grandma, just like she wanted to be. God will look after her now and she’ll always be with us spiritually. Though she might not of been my blood aunt but blood doesn’t make

you family, loyalty does. She is and always will be my aunt and I’ll always keep her close in my heart”. From: Christopher Smith

Hilary & Dean,

I am so sorry to hear of your family’s loss. I remember as the girls were growing up how Evelyn’s smile was so contagious and how she always had a way of making you appreciate the littlest things. Her picture proves my point. After Granby when we hadn’t seen each other for years, we would run into each other and talk about how proud we were of our daughter’s and their accomplishments. You were a lucky family and she will be missed by all that knew her. You are in our prayers & God Bless.

Love, Karl, Alecia, Barbara & Brad

I am sitting here with tears in my eyes thinking about all the gatherings we have shared together since the beginning of our time and the fun we have had. The pictures we have been looking at bring back a lot of good memories. It’s going to be hard on us to know you you have left us, but it is with joy knowing you are no longer suffering and now in heaven with God, family, and friends. you will be missed by us all,and I will look forward to seeing you again. Your Big Brother J.B.

I am so sorry for your loss. There are no words that I can say to ease your pain and suffering at a time like this. Know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. She was my best friend and neighbor during high school. We had a lot of fun and were always cutting up. I will forever be grateful for her coming to my mothers funeral. I am so glad I was able to see her and was looking forward to getting to see her again. Rest in peace Evelyn.

I know that no words can ease your pain at the loss of sweet Evelyn. It was easy to see that she was the very heart and soul of her wonderful family, She had a heart of gold and a wonderful gift of making everyone she came into contact with feel special and important. If only we could all live by her example, the world would be a better place. I pray that your precious memories of her will bring you comfort in the difficult days ahead. Praying for your peace in the knowledge that she is safe in the arms of Jesus and you will see her again one day.
