Evelyn Pearl Miller

Age 79

Evelyn Pearl Miller 79, of North Marietta Street, Sardis, Ohio died Wednesday August 15, 2001 at Wetzel County Hospital in New Martinsville, West Virginia following a lengthy illness.

She was born in Dodridge City, WV on October 25, 1921 and was the daughter of the late I. B. Davis and Iva Louise McIntire Davis.

Formerly of Pleasant Heights in East Liverpool, Mrs. Miller moved to Sardis in 1979. She was a wife and mother.

Her husband Gordon R. Miller, whom she married December 5, 1937, died November 16, 1997.

She is survived by:

one son: Ezria Miller of Sardis, OH

four daughters: Betty Lou Spencer of East Liverpool, OH

Shirley Salisbury of Sardis, OH

Ivia Walters of Sardis, OH

Laura Bolen of Sardis, OH

one brother: Edward O. Davis of Thomasville, NC

14 Grandchildren 32 Great-Grandchildren

13 Great-Great-Grandchildren

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Ray Miller and Lawrence Dale Miller; two brothers, Clifford Davis and Earl Davis; three sisters, Alma Price, Martha Baker and Margaret Miller.

Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin-MacLean-Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Saturday, August 18, 2001 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Louise Baker, niece of Mrs. Miller, officiating.

Burial will follow in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home in Calcutta on Friday, August 17, 2001 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M.
