Evelyn Lorena Piatt, 88 formerly from Bellaire, Ohio departed this life on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 in Chattanooga, Tennessee surrounded by her son and granddaughters.
She was born on June 2, 1923 in Bellaire, Ohio to the late Everett and Bertha Givens St. John.
She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Bellaire where she served as an Elder and the American Legion Auxiliary of Bellaire Post 52 where she was a Past President and fifty year member.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Albert “Max” Piatt, a son, Robert Edward Piatt and three brothers, Carl St. John, Wilbert St. John and Robert St. John.
Surviving are her son, Albert E. Linda Piatt of Chattanooga, Tennessee; three granddaughters, Lorrie Piatt, Bonnie Sean MacDonald and Dorothy Piatt all of Chattanooga, Tennessee; great grandsons, Nathan Bates and Ryan MacDonald; a great granddaughter, Karlie MacDonald and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 from 2pm until 4 pm and 6 pm until 8 pm at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 441 37th Street Bellaire, Ohio. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 23 at Noon at the First United Presbyterian Church of Bellaire, 3358 Guernsey Street, Bellaire, Ohio with the Pastor Connie Quinn officiating. Burial follows in the Rock Hill Cemetery, Bellaire, Ohio.
