Etta E. Cross
Age: 80

Etta E. Cross, 80, of Hillcrest Rd., Wellsville, passed away at her home with her family beside her. She was born in Woodsfield, Ohio on June 22, 1922 a daughter of the late William R. and Grace J. Altop Echols.

Mrs. Cross was a lifelong area resident, working at Ceramic Specialty as a finisher before her retirement.

Her husband, Walter E. Cross, Sr. whom she married on February 7, 1944, passed before her on April 12, 1992.

She is survived by three sons: Walter E. Cross, Jr and his wife, Deborah of Canton, GA; Charles S. Cross with whom she resided and Frank L. Cross and his wife, Sonnie of Wellsville, OH; two daughters: Donna Yergin and her husband, Jon of Wellsville, OH and Patty Sherman and her husband, Harry of Syracuse, IN; one sister: Martha Reed of East Liverpool, OH; nine grandchildren: Terry Woyan and her husband, Tim of Leetonia, OH; Cathy Yergin and her companion, Tony Forrester of Wellsville, OH ; Erin Huddlestun and her husband, Brian of Wellsville, OH; Lukas Sherman and his wife, Brenda of Syracuse, IN; Eric Cross and his wife, Valerie of Canton, GA; Sharma Carter and her husband, Greg of Canton, GA; Sara Cross and Michael Cross both of Wellsville, OH and Ed Cross and his wife, Tiffany of Ravenna, OH and nine great grandchildren: Amanda and Jacob Woyan of Leetonia, OH, Tracer Yergin of Wellsville, OH, Tanner Forrester of Wellsville, OH, Jonathan and Grace Huddlestun of Wellsville, OH, Kalee Cross of Canton, GA and Courtney and Kelsey Cross of Ravenna, OH.

Besides her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by a son: Terry L. Cross and three sisters: Mildred Howell, Dorothy Echols and Betty D’Angelo.

Services will be held at the Wellsville Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Friday, August 30, 2002 at 1:30 PM with Pastor Mike Kramer of Oakland Free Methodist Church in East Liverpool officiating.

Burial will follow in Bethel Church Cemetery, Salineville, OH.

The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Wellsville on Thursday, August 29, 2002 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM

Etta Ellen Cross Family, We are very sorry to hear about the passing of Aunt Etta Ellen. We loved her very much and we truly will miss her. We understand what you are going through. It has only been 3-years since our Mother and Wife passed away{Aug.29th}. If there is anything we can do let us know. We love all of you and will prayer for all of you. I am sorry to hear about the passing of Aunt Etta Ellen.Even though I cannot bewith you during your time of sorrow, you are in our thoughts and prayers. She will be sadly missed but never forgotten.
