Esther Mae Myers, 86, of McMechen, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015 in Reynolds Memorial Hospital.
She was born February 28, 1929, a daughter of the late George and Elise Haufe Morris. Esther was a member of the McMechen-Benwood United Methodist Church and a member of McMechen Women’s Club for over 50 years.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Hershel Myers, 1990 and one daughter, Barbara Myers, 1987.
Esther is survived by her fiancé, Charles “Ham” Gillingham; one son, Mark Myers; one daughter, Jean Macquan; good friends, Diane Greg Pond, and Karen Jack Kalfas; one brother, George Marilyn Morris; one sister, Marcella Deitz; two grandchildren, Tracy Charles Davis, and Kelly Angelo Paree; and five great grandchildren, Brittney, Daniel, Henry, Kaitlyn, and Nichlas.
Upon Esther’s request there will be no visitation and graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family.

I am deeply saddened to learn of Esther’s passing. She was a very special lady and the mother of my very best friend, Barbara. They both will live in my heart forever.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Esther’s family and friends. Esther was a good neighbor and friend. I have a lot of good childhood memories with Esther. May she rest in peace.
