Estelle Mae Addington

Estelle M. Addington, 86, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2008.
She was born on May 14, 1922 in Coeburn, Virginia, the daughter of Samuel and Emma McReynolds; the last of 12 children, all now deceased. She was a resident of Newport News since 1946, a homemaker, and a long time faithful member of Riverside Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Douglas Norman Addington, Sr.
She is survived by her two children, Norman Addington and his wife, Jane of Chesapeake, VA and Jeanne Meeks and her husband, Ken of Surry, VA. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., Saturday, December 6, at Riverside-Altmeyer Funeral Home, 7415 River Road, Newport News. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 7, 2008, at Riverside Baptist Church., Newport News. Pastor Tommy Davidson will be officiating. Interment will follow at Peninsula Memorial Park.
Her family is grateful to Sentara Nursing Center of Chesapeake for their kind and loving care over the past few years.
