Erwood G. Edwards, Sr. 71, of Virginia Beach died on Friday, March 15, 2002.
Born in Englehart, North Carolina to the late Howard W. and Mable V. Hancock Edwards, he was a retired electronics engineer.. He was also a Marine veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Albertson Edwards; four sons, Dr. E. Glenn Edwards of Walkersville, Maryland, Timothy L. Edwards of New Castle, Virginia, Dana M. Edwards of Cleveland, North Carolina and Gregory W. Edwards of Virginia Beach, Virginia; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandson, three sisters and three brothers.
The visitation will be held on Monday, March 18, 2002 from 4:00pm to 9:00pm in Altmeyer Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2002 at 11:00am in the funeral home. Burial will take place in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
