Ernest A. Vadeboncoeur

May 30, 1931 - April 8, 2015

05/30/1931 - 04/08/2015

VIRGINIA BEACH – Ernest A. Vadeboncoeur, 83, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at his residence.

He was born in Fall River, MA on May 30, 1931, to the late Rosalie Raymond and Ernest J. Vadeboncoeur. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Evelyn M. Vadeboncoeur.

His daughter, Teresa V. Blake; and three sisters, Jeanette Chaunt, Margaret Jackson, and Anita Laframboise predeceased him. He is survived by his brother-in-law, William S. Griffith of Delaware; sister-in-law, Rosalie C. Walton and her husband Ed of Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ernie’s love for his wife and family was surpassed only by his love of the Lord. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, brother-in-law and uncle.

We would like to give a special thanks to Roe and Ed for taking care of us, dear friends Kaye and Larry who did so many tasks to keep us going and together, our church family and Sentara Hospice – all were with us and helped us through our difficult journey.

A home-going service will be held on Friday, April 10 at 11am in Virginia Beach Free Will Baptist Church, with Dr. J.D. Norris, Jr. officiating.

Memorial donations may be made to the Virginia Beach Freewill Baptist Building Fund, 210 S. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23462, where he enjoyed singing in the choir and serving our Lord.

Dear Evelyn and family members,

This is indeed one of those bittersweet times when the one we love passes from this Earth but through the grace and love of our Savior, Jesus Christ, Ernie is welcomed to an eternal life void of any pain and worry but instead a time of eternal joy. So, take heart in knowing this. Evelyn, please know that you are in our prayers and that one day you to will be with Ernie and your loved ones. What a blessing that will be.We LOVE you! LOVE, Lee&Lonita
